The Melange of Natural Rock Salt for SaltAir device consists of Middle Miocene halite rock salt, enriched with magnesium. Magnesium is well-known in helping relaxing the smooth muscles in the respiratory system. Because of this property, the melange salt is very helpful while coughing a lot.
It is recommended to be used in acute conditions or flare-up of a chronic condition, when there is lots of coughing. Once the coughing subsides, switch to the rock salt.
The melange salt for SaltAir device comes in 8 oz container, about 250 grams. One container will last for about 6-7 months of daily use.
Please note that SaltAir device has to be used only with our provided rock salt for the 1 year warranty to be in effect. Using a different salt will void the warranty, as the device’s lifetime can be negatively affected! For example, the Himalayan rock salt has a much higher content of iron that may affect the unit. Also, we do not guarantee same health results using a different kind of salt!
